Dwayne: These last few weeks have been eventful for us. The day before Christmas we went up to Puerto to take care 876555_mosquito1of a few things, and then on Christmas day Wendy's parents flew down from Manila to visit. We drove a little ways north on Palawan and across the island to Port Barton. It is a nice little fishing village with some developing tourism. I was just finishing up a course of Quinine for a bought of malaria I had when Friday night a fever returned. So on Sunday, I started taking another drug to try and finish the malaria off.

We drove on up north on Sunday to El Nido. It is a beautiful area with volcanic cliffs jutting out of the water. We spent a few days there before heading back to Puerto. On the way back we started hearing noises in the rear differential and could not figure out what it was. Finally about 20 kilometers out of Puerto we figured out the nut had loosened up on the rear pinion, so we removed the rear drive shaft and drove the rest of the way in four wheel drive. We ended up taking the rear differential apart and replacing all the bearing in it before proceeding on to Brooke’s Point.

God has provided us land through a great uncle of the Hensons. He is donating part of his place to us to build a hanger and airstrip on. It is in a nice location about 15 minute’s drive from Brooke’s Point. We are working on getting a title and lease worked out.

The first thing we need is a road put in to the property. The government started putting a road that runs down one edge of the property but they never finished it. We are inquiring to see if they are willing to finish it for us or if we need to do it ourselves. Please keep that in your prayers that God will show us the best way to put a road in. As soon as the road is completed we can begin the construction process. The plan for construction is a hanger with an attached duplex so as to minimize cost by sharing walls and making everything into one structure.

We did a medical mission last Thursday to a PFM project across the mountains from us. We were blessed to have a beautiful flight over in the morning, and for the return flight in the evening. When we returned, it was just after some afternoon showers had dissipated and we could see a 360 degree double rainbow from the helicopter. We serve an amazing creator and he has been providing for this work in amazing ways. I thank all of you for your continued prayers and support.

God bless, Dwayne & Wendy
