Abner* with a charcoal poultice
Abner* is a 21 yr. old "M" man who was brought to PAMAS for medical help. He was bedridden from an unknown disease. His sickness came after a month of doing some missionary "M" work. He got weaker and weaker everyday. He was already treated by several "M" healers who said he was poisoned but still they could not identify the real cause of his sickness for two months of treatment with the native healers and witch doctors. He then was sent to the hospital and admitted for almost 1 month. He was diagnosed with colon cancer and pleural effusion. The doctor advised them to go to Manila  for chemotherapy because he was not reacting to the medicines given to him. The family was hopeless. People said that only a miracle could heal Abner*. We also explained to them that only God could heal Abner*. We asked if we could pray for him in the name of Jesus Christ and they agreed. We shared the story of Job in the Bible to encourage them and to tell them that God heals and does not give sickness. The next day we started treatment using activated charcoal drink and charcoal poultice on his chest and abdomen. We also placed him on a mostly fruit and vegetable diet advising them to continue the diet. After 3 days of prayer, reading God's word and charcoal treatment, Abner* felt better! He has his appetite back and is able to sleep well, not like before when he could not sleep. His father also said that he has started to sweat/perspire now (whereas before he could not) and his breathing has become comfortable. The family decided to bring him back home and continue treatment there. We are so happy for Abner*. He went home with a smile on his face and walking on his own!
Please continue to pray for Abner*. Abner* promised to visit us and stay with us for a month to study God's word. Bring back the glory to God.
